Preferred Bank Community
Preferred Bank is committed to promoting the prosperity and well-being of our community. By collaborating with various community organizations and other entities who share the same mission, we support financial education programs for individuals and businesses, and sponsor initiatives that provide technical assistance to small businesses. Through these continued joint efforts, we hope to provide access to resources and opportunities to enhance the underserved communities' quality of life.
Tzu Chi USA and the bank's wildfire relief efforts
In response to the devastating wildfires that affected Los Angeles in January 2025, Preferred Bank donated $62,500 to our long-standing partner and humanitarian organization, Tzu Chi USA, to aid their dedicated relief efforts.

The Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena
For 87 years, The Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena has provided education enrichment programs to youths in Pasadena, Altadena, and Sierra Madre.P
The Eaton Fire in January 2025 severely impacted BGCP’s community. In response, BGCP mobilized to provide supportive services to their community, from housing assistance, to investing in trauma-informed care for community members.
Preferred Bank is proud to support BGCP and to have our own Senior Vice President and Regional Group Manager, John Stipanov, serve on the board.

Asian American Drug Abuse Program
Preferred Bank is a proud supporter of the Asian American Drug Abuse Program and their mission of providing support to people in recovery.
This year, Preferred Bank assisted AADAP obtain a grant for $100,000 from the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco. Kobe Kobayashi, Vice President and Portfolio Manager, also serves on the AADAP board.

Preferred Bank Partners with Thomas House Family Shelter
We hosted a career development workshop at Thomas House Family Shelter at their weekly parenting class. We helped the parents with building their resumes, practicing interviews, and other important job development skills.
